CUBIC Main and Incoming Switchboards
Low Tension Metal-clad Switchgear
Introduction

CUBIC is a PTTA (Partially Type Tested Assembly) modular switchboard system. It is one of the most advanced, flexible and robust systems available currently on the market. The components for the panels are supplied by CUBIC A/S of Denmark.

Structural Features

Built on a 192mm module for height, depth and width, this panel has an unlimited capacity for expansion in three dimensional space.

CUBIC's standard busbar systems capable of up to 185 kA short-circuit withstand current as well as a rated current of 7000A given 35K temperature rise or 11500A given 65K temperature rise.

Standard components can build PTTA panels of  up to FORM 4 and a protection degree of up to IP 54 without any modification.

Parts are so inter-connectable as to allow on a single panel both drawout and fixed systems as well as allowing doors to be mounted on any servicable surface.

Busbar Features

Standard busbar holders for vertical as well as horizontal busbars. Busbar arrangement of switchboards built by LKE are based on the type-tested and pre-determined configurations provided by CUBIC A/S of Denmark.

Component Features

The CUBIC system is highly compatible with all types of low-voltage switch components. Standard connections are available for connecting its busbars to the switches of most major component suppliers.

Given the power loss of the components within, the overall  temperature-rise of the panel can be accurately derived through extrapolation on type-test results of standard CUBIC panels using an automated software program created by CUBIC. This ensures that the temperature-rise of the switchboard can be pre-derived in the designing stage and it helps to pre-validate the selection of different components to be used within the switchboard.

Conformance to international standards

The CUBIC system has been type-tested in ASTA and KEMA as well as other labs around the world. It conforms to the standards of IEC, BS, DEMKO, VDE, UL, JIS, GB, and the standards of various other governing bodies around the world.

Detailed data regarding type-tests can be provided upon request.
